The rooms at the Western are closed, so what is my next choice?

This is actually a serious question. I am working on a writing project and want to see the worst of Vegas.

sh*t the Western is closed?? that place was .........................

well if our beloved Western is closed :( then i suppose the title of the sleaziest place in Downtown would have to go to the good day inn http://las-vegas-hotels.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g45963-d91794-Reviews-Good_Day_Inn-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html

The cheapest place to stay is probably the Gold Spike though as you should be able to get a room there for about $20 a night

The Gold Spike, hands down. It's IS worse than the Good Day Inn and yes, the Western is closed. I have to say though, Vegas Club and Golden Gate are tied for a close second.

Enjoy!

If the Western is gone then the hands down winner is the Gold Spike if you want to only include a place with a casino.

Im sure there are some even nastier hourly motels in the area.

I've gotta give the vote to "my" hotel (laughs out loud hystericly) The Gold Spike. Try the specials in the diner, and don't forget to play the "real" penny machines.....

the hotels on Fremont street are pretty crummy, try the "Good Night Inn" you can hear people taking hookers in and out of their rooms all night.
