obviously as of late gas prices have been falling...$3.49 on memorial day weekend now down to $2.94 today, but they will go back up again around july 4th...how far do you expect gas prices to drop before they shoot up again in july?

We will be on our first "shore" trip to New Jersey with the rest of my husband's family. I am just a Kansas girl and have no idea how to get around. We want to visit the New York City area for a day and want to know the best way to go without taking in a car. We will be in Sea Isle NJ. Want to drive in as close, but park and take another mode in. I will be working at Ontario Airport and going to school at Concord in Los Angeles.....they are about 45 miles away from eachother!!! i am trying to find cities between these two cities, so my work and school will be about 30 minutes from each!!!! i am moving to CA from MO so i don't know much about CA! My wife and I will be going to Vegas after I get back from Iraq in Septmeber. We have booked Hooters because it is cheap and location. We have been to Vegas twice before, but always stayed at the MGM which we loved. I have been to Hooters casino, but haven't seen the rooms. Should we stay with our Hooters booking or just splurge and spend more to stay somewhere new like Paris, Monte Carlo, or New York New York?? We want a fun pool scene with decent accomidation. We are two adults, one hired teen nanny and three children ages 9, 8 and 5. We'll be spending three days at Disney and one at Seaworld. Any suggestions on where to go, what to do, what to see or what to avoid?
Also, any ideas on what to take would be appreciated. We'll be driving there in a van and it will probably take about 12 hours to get there. We're leaving late at night so the kids will sleep for most of it.

I am thinking about moving to the US from the UK because the pressure here seems too much for me. I'd like to know if America is anything like what we see in the movies - nice houses, huge cars, good jobs, always sunny, better opportunities etc. Is the work/life balance in the US better than the UK and is life more comfy there.

Is the gun culture there a fact or fiction? How should I prepare if I want to move to the US? As the US is a very large place, are there place to avoid and places to be?
