You clearly have been very few places if you think that. I'm not saying that San Diego is some great bastion of culture, but it is far from a "backwater". I could name you dozens of places that make San Diego look like NYC.
Get out and see the world, it will make you a better person.

You really have no clue. Your idea of culture is hanging around Yahoo bashing San Diego. If you are old enough to move away, do so. If you aren't, does your mother know you are dumping on her town? Based on your other questions, I think you got dumped in a relationship by some "stuck up" local, and are taking some useless revenge on the city in random and uninformed ways
