Because I want to have my breath taken away by
... the ice skaters at Bryant Park,
... the shades of autumn in Central Park,
... the most perfect tasting hot dog from Papaya King
... the brilliant lights at Times Square
... the busy expanse of Grand Central Station
... the honesty, friendliness, and sheer grit of people who live there.
Those are some of my best memories of NYC.

I like to walk over the homeless people on Central Park West, I like people yelling at me for no apparent reason, I like not being able to look anyone in the eye......However, there are some nice things there, Lincoln Center and the cultural end, the people are just brash. Lived there for a while and can tell you lots..........nice place to visit I suppose, but you know the saying I would not want to live there! That is why the affluent have homes outside of the city that they go to on the weekend.

This is obviously for a competition where you have to complete the sentence to win a trip to New York. I think the whole idea is that you answer this yourself, otherwise I would hope the person who answers would not only get the 10 points, but the trip as well.

it takes more integrity, strength, cleverness and sophistication to survive in the new epicenter of humanity than any other place in the world. i want to go to new york to learn how to interact with all the many peoples and cultures who otherwise i may never encounter as well as learn how to be independent, stand up for myself and that of which i believe in and learn from the many accomplishments our predecessors completed before my generation
