Has anyone come through customs at LAX from Asia (brother is coming in from Philippines) in the last few weeks?

Are there usually delays coming from Asia? Just wondering when I should be there to pick him up.

I haven't recently, but I have come from Japan into LAX and the customs was not too bad. It just depends on how long the lines are, usually they just check your passport and you move on.

I work at LAX. Customs can take 1 to 2 hours. So plan on waiting for awhile. Depending on the which airlines he is arriving on, he will "probably" arrive in the Tom Bradley Terminal. Customs/arrivals is on the lower level. Just park in the lot on your left side, walk across the street and wait at the customs exit. Bring a book to read if you want to. There is also a coffee shop right there to spend some time. Or you can call for the arrival time and add one hour before you come.

From the Philipppines is no problem. I have been through customs at LAX 5 times this year mostly from Vietnam and Cambodia but also from Manila. I have had no problems with customs and have been passed through almost without being looked at. I am sure they have checked me out electronically but I sure breezed through customs comfortably.
