Ok, i'm taking a bus trip from des moines iowa to joliet illinois. I've never done this before so i don't know what really goes on, but i looked online and it says that it will take 10 hours and 10 minutes, but it would only take like.. five fours to get there if you drove it yourself. what makes it take so long? also, has an area that says "tranfers" and then under it it says "2" does that mean i have to get off then get onto another bus? where do they usually stop to do this? Sorry if i sound stupid i just need to know all the details about it..

I am headed to Newark for business, was a last minute trip, and I could not fly into EWR. So I am flying into Laguardia, hopping on a taxi to Penn Station and then taking the train to Newark. Anyone have any rough reference on time for this travel? Thanks

I live in Ohio and I want to relocate to a larger city with more opportunities for an educated single woman who is really just getting started her career. Some of the things I am considering are:

1. The best cities for 20/30-something (I am right in the middle at 29) single(hetero) woman?
2. Best cities for interracial dating? (where is it most prevalent and most accepted)
3. Most diversity? Good place for minorities and international people to live?
4. Median standard of living (not too high, not too low).
5. Is there any place with more straight men than straight women?
6. Lots to do culturally/night life/educationally?
7. Career opportunities for a recent graduate (BA)

Maybe I am looking for a utopian place that doesn't exist!!! (LOL) But if you know of any suggestions please tell me! I am so bored and stifled here... Although I am thinking about starting grad school in the Fall I don't know if I can take it anymore!

Or suggest a site where I can do some research!

I am considering a move to either Washington state (WA), Ohio, Vermont or Minnesota. I realise Minnesota is a cold place but cold doesn't really bother me. If I want surf and sand I'll vacation in California or Florida. This is a 3 year career related decision and I'd like some advice on the best state in terms of quality of life for a 30-something single guy. Thanks!

Per a recent artical last year 500,000 moved out and only 400,000 moved in. Immigration from other countries and births have kept the state's population growing. Did anybody here move out? and why?

Looking at the map of the grounds, it looks like it might be just as easy to take the shuttle to Epcot first, then ride the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom. Any other Disney transporation tips appreciated.

I was just wondering who had won things. What they had won. And where they were when they won them. Like how did they approach you? And has anyone got to stay in Cinderella's Castle yet? And what was it like? I'm a big disney fan and am going to Disneyland in May. I really want to win something!

I will be a graduated resipratory therapist soon, I live in arctic Minnesota. I want to move to Northern california. I would like to find a city with about 80-100 thousand people, similar to my hometown. Somewhere that is close to the big city. I will need to have the option of working at different hospitals. I will also need an area with an excellent school system. I have a 5 year-old child that will be moving with me. I am looking for somewhere safe, with excellent schools, not a ridiculously high cost of living, and a warm environment. Oh and i hate spiders so preferrably w/o those : )

I am going to be in the O'hare airport area. Where should I stay? Hotels near the lake are more expensive, are they worth it? I know all the good clubs are near the lake. I've got transportation. Should I stay at the airport and save $$ or is the scene dwntwn worth it? How far is the lake from the airport?

Sorry so many questions
