Me and my family have been to DisneyWorld in Florida, and we are taking a trip to Cali... and want to experience DisneyLand. Is there a difference in the two parks? Also what else is there to see in Cali? Thank you!

The Magic Kingdom at Disneyworld IS Disneyland except with a bigger castle. The only thing Disneyland has that Disneyworld doesn't is the CA Adeventure Theme Park, which is highly overrated. Disneyworld is completely different b/c it's about the size of Paris or SF and the parking lot at the Magic Kingdom can fit Disneyland in it. Plus there are tons of theme parks and water parks, golf courses, ect..within Disneyworld. Disneyland is surrounded by suburban Orange County sprawl.

You are not going to see anything different at Disneyland if you have been to the Magic Kingdon at Disneyworld, they are exactly the same. But there are a ton of other things to see and visit in the area. There are other Theme parks like Knotts Berry Farms, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, Hollywood, Santa Monica,ect.. San Diego is a just short drive south of Disneyland and there is SeaWorld, SD Zoo, and the Wild Animal Park plus SD has some of the best beaches in CA. There is so much to do in Southern CA besides Disneyland,

The chief difference, besides the size that everyone keeps mentioning, is the basic historicity of Disneyland. It was first, built in the mid 1950s (Disneyworld was finished around 1971). Disneyland was overseen by Walt Disney -- the actual man, not the corporation. To some people, that will matter.

WHile in L.A. get to Hollywood and walk the walk of stars/walk of fame and "try on" the footprints of legends in front of Mann's Chinese theater. Plan ahead, and you can go to a TV show taping... game shows or comedy show. Inquire for tickets with the network or show.

DisneyWorld is much larger. It has so many acres of area that hasn't been touched yet. It has 4 parks plus 3 water parks. DisneyLand is smaller and from what I understand, enough land wasn't purchased when it was being built so there are cheap hotels and fast food joints up to the gate of their Magic Kingdom. I don't know how true that is but that's what I have heard a number of times. Have fun in Cali!

Disneyland is smaller, but has it's own charm. There are many things to do in Cali around DL. Santa Ana is in orange county and there are tons of beaches to go visit. Los Angeles is a short drive away you can see all the museums, hollywood, sunset etc. Also if your into music it's concert season , so check out to see if any of your favorite bands will be touring through the area. Have fun !

Disneyland is smaller, but still a lot of fun. If you have older kids that like to ride thrill rides I would also go to Magic Mountain while you're in LA.

Disney world is quite a bit larger, with more areas to visit. There is Typoon Lagoon, and Epcot, and other various water and theme parks.
