Well, there is lots to do in Vegas besides, gamble and walk around.
Of course to get around you will have to walk some.
But, if you do it right, you can plan everything to start at one end and be done at the other.
That will require you to get a train ticket. For the monorail. This thing is great.
Here is the site for the monorail so that you can see all the prices, stops etc.

Now for things to do we can start with the FREE stuff first.
Go to the next site to see alot of the FREEBIES that you can do. Highlights are the fountains at the Bellagio, Freemont Street Experience, Lion Habitat at MGM, The Sirens of Treasure Island, Volcano at the Mirage, Animal Habitat at the Flamingo.

There are alot of other attractions inside of each casino. There is the 2 animatronic attractions inside the Caesars Palace. These are great and FREE. One is King Neptune and his kids fighting over the fate of Atlantis. Lots of fire and water. Very cool. And the Greek Gods.
Also, there is lots of things that you can do that are inexpensive, just use the same site above and check out all the links there.
Lots of fun things in every Casino.
The key to having a good time in Vegas is to just make yourself aware of what there is to do and where.
Then just plan it. It's fun.
We go every year at least 2-3 times.
And are moving there this summer.
Have fun!!!

Take a ride to Hoover Dam, about 40 miles away, below Boulder City. They have tours daily inside the cavernous interior. It remains one of the engineering marvels of the 1930's and, undoubtedly, made Las Vegas much of what it is today because of the cheap, plentiful energy.

I've never been to a show but you could do that. They also have a Start Trek ride at the OLD Hilton. (The one that has the big statute of Elvis). I've done it a couple of times and its fun. Go to the MGM and look a the live lions they have there. That was cool too. Just walking around you will see a TON!

you can go to a show, concert , go on a helicopter ride, hot air balloon ride, tour the dam, go on the laughlin tour of the dam and reno nevada.
you can also play golf, get married, and pretty much party 24 hours straight, this city never closes.
The Casinos have free shows everynight. The stratosphere has an amusement park. It really depends on how much money you want to spend.
