We've rented a cabin at Big Bear (about 100yrds from the lake) for two weeks in June/July. My husband and I will be taking his three kids ages 15, 12 and 9. How safe will it be to let his kids wonder around the immediate area and on the lake shore (NOT in the lake) alone for short periods of time? He's already told them that they can ride their bikes around without supervision....

want to move to nyc, and work at newark airport. where would be a good area to live and not make my commute a nightmare?
