And I have to move to Sacremento, CA.

Its because of a job promotion for my dad.

I have booked my flights to Vegas leaving on the 21st September. Only thing now is the hotel.

I am looking for around one hundred pounds a night and will probably book directly with the hotel.

Can anyone tell me what sort of strip hotel I can get for that and when is it best to book to get the best deals. At the moment the nicer hotels are too expensive but I have noticed that good offers come up nearer dates. We are looking for nice mid-strip, possibly with strip view.

I have looked at the convention schedule for my dates and it doesnt look too bad.

Thanks for your help.

Any insight into important things to consider and overall cost of a road trip across the country and back? We (just two of us) would be starting in eastern PA (where we live), then taking a central route so we can see some of the national parks out west (most likely the CO/UT vicinity), see Yosemite, then going to San Francisco (prob stay in a hostel we know of). After that, we want to head south and hit up LA and San Diego, then head into AZ to see the Grand Canyon and petrified forest. We want to see stuff in TX, most likely San Antonio. Then we wish to stop by New Orleans and do do a couple days worth of volunteer work, then eventually getting to FL and using Amtrak reward points towards taking the Auto Train up to VA (as far as it goes) and returning to PA. That's just a very general outline. We would like to keep costs as low as possible, possibly some camping here and there. We're driving an AUDI A6 Avant, so plenty of storage space and comfy ride. Takes premium gas though.

I'd like the park located in FL. , MS., or AL. gulf coast. I've searched the web and found some but would like some personal accounts of your stays and experiences. I wish I could just pitch a tent on the beach and camp there. Does that exist?

We have decided to drive from NJ to Florida. On the way there we will stop half way at South Carolina at some place called Pedroland for the day. I cant firgure out where to stop on the way back. We can actually stay the night on the way back. Any ideas?

We dont ski. I was thinking something in Virginia, but its in February so it will be cold. I have a 13 year old and a 1 year old. We like museums. Living History. Weird highway stuff.

I did see a place for just tubing that sounded interesting.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any place that you would take your significant other in or around Indianapolis. I just moved there recently so I have not yet gotten the feel of the area. Is there any particular place that is great to take them out to eat (yet reasonably priced..I can't afford St. Elmo's right now) or even something else to do? Thanks for those willing to help! :-)
