home of the Berkley pit...one of the nation's largest toxic waste sites. It dominates the cityscape. Last time I was there (which was over 20 years ago) there were lots of homeless people missing limbs and fingers in the streets. presumably these were form mining accidents

I thought Butte was nice, food was good and similar to other cities in Montana, for example Bozeman. And much bigger than Three Forks.... Not sure what inofrmation you're looking for?

It's a small place, if you are used to a big city, you will be in for a reverse culture shock. On the plus side, less crime and slime.
