I keep looking up an address for manhattan on yahoo maps and I keep getting New York, NY

New York is the city, Manhattan one of the 5 boroughs that make up the city. The others are The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.

If you're talking about a mailing address, yes. If you mean the city, no. The city of New York includes Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens. Far more people live in the "outer boroughs" than in Manhattan itself.

Yep. Manhattan is NY, NY. Brooklyn is Brooklyn, NY. Queens is weird because it goes by neighborhood name. If you are looking for something in the neighborhood of Flushing (which is in Queens) it would be listed as 'Flushing, NY' rather than 'Queens, NY'
