In Europe its said that only these 3 places are worth visiting (they have nightlife, fashion, museums etc). Is there any other interesting place and why?

For a mixed crowd of over and under 21. It could also be in the surrounding areas.

Time isn't a problem, I'll be travelling with two children aged 5&6 and would preferably like to take a route with plenty to do on the way. I'd like some advice on activities along the way.

If you did in fact have one...My three year old and I played in the snow, ( while it was snowing, it was beautiful!) drank hot chocolate, watched a movie, made a fire...you know- all the lazy "mother nature made us take a day off" things that any other time you might feel guilty for doing. ( or at least all in the same day!)

You?

I'm visiting the city this weekend for training, and I'm staying with a friend in D.C. My friend just relocated too, so is uncertain of taking public transit outside of what's needed for work, which is right there in D.C.

I need to get from D.C. to the B'more Convention Center on Saturday, but none of the sites I've looked at (MARC, MTA, WMATA) to get directions have been helpful for this.

PLEASE HELP! Even if you don't have specific directions, but can give me the phone number of the most likely transit system to get me there, this would be extremely helpful.

place (hotel/motel) to stay which is safe, reasonably priced and central in...

Los Angeles
Houston
Chicago
Cleveland
Boston
New York
Washington DC.

There are 5 of us (3kids, 2 adults) from Australia..going in July 2007

I found in Los Angeles:
Ramada Plaza Hotel and Suites West Hollywood/Beverly Hills.
Is this a good location? I have looked at price and am fine with it. We won't be going to Disney Land (we're going to Schlitterbahn, Cedar Pont, Busch gardens Europe and Water country USA).

Anyway, what are the safest areas which are still central (if possible) to stay in these different cities mentioned? Where is the best area for complete safety to stay in Houston?

Thankyou! You can also email me.
