On the Upper East Side you'll see a lot that are $10-20mil (sometimes more) if you want a single family residence. There's one for sale on the Upper West side for only $3.6mil but it's still divided into separate apartments, it's not a single family residence and you'd have to pay for some renovations. There's another nearby that's $5.6mil.

Yes Manhattan is in New York. It is one of the five boroughs of New York City along with Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island. A lot of tourists assume that Manhattan is the whole of NYC, and therefore refer to New York as the area known as Manhattan without including the outer boroughs. This can be offensive to someone who may live in Queens for example.

It depends on the size, location and condition of the brownstone. My cousin owns a brownstone on striver's row in Harlem that was purchased for $160,000 in 1991 which is now currently worth approximately 1.4 million. For specifics I would suggest checking with local realtors in the NYC area.

Millions upon millions, you gotta know somebody to get one of those, they are very old (like 100+ years old) and hard to come by since there are not a lot of them. They are usually kept among family, Inherited, or sold to somebody in the family. Unless your a Rock-Star...your not gonna get one easily. And im NOT exaggerating about the price.
