None of the answers you've seen thus far are complete. Long Beach Airport (LGB) is the closest, but Orange County John Wayne (SNA) and Los Angeles (LAX) are also proximate, and might be more appropriate depending upon where you're flying from.
The one person that does make mention of the fact is correct; Cerritos is in SOUTHERN California, and not near San Francisco.

Are you looking for the area in the Santa Cruz Mtns near San Jose? I somehow remember going to a camp called Cerritos as a child. If that isnt what your looking for then you posted in the wrong section and the other answers are correct.

That would be either John Wayne Int'l Airport in Orange County, or LAX, which is in Torrance, Ca. You're just about in the middle of both in Cerritos. I know this as I used to live in Norwalk, Ca.

Buffalo is the nearest International airport, Hamilton is closer but limited carriers land there. For small craft, Niagara District Airport accomodates all private aircraft, it is minutes away from the Falls. There is also private airstrips in Chippawa and Wainfleet, close to the Falls as well.

actually, the closest one is Long Beach City Airport [I believe it's called John Wayne Airport].
I live in Bellflower, CA.
Just take Lakewood Blvd, all the way down and you'll run right into the the Long Beach Airport.

Very convenient. Main carrier there is JetBlue.
Cheap flights to Oakland.
