I'm going to be in NYC over a weekend at the end of Oct. and will be on my own fri. night. I want to find something to do that's fun where I don't look like a wierdo because I'm alone...is there a by-myself friendly kind of place that you could recommend where I can be social? i.e. good restaurant, bar, event. etc.

I am wondering if anyone knows where the St. Andrew Shrine is located in St. Patrick's Cathedral. I have never been able to find it. "Directions" to it from the Madison Ave. (main) entrance would be helpful. Is there a website that has a "map" of the inside of the church to help find these shrines?

I intend to rent a van which can accomodate 8 adult passengers at LAX . What is the regulations in Califrornia and in Vegas if i have a child who is 5 year old on bard making a total of 9 passengers on board. Will i be fine for breaking the passenger limit on board .
