Garvey's Irish Pub is a nice little bar on the corner of the Milford Plaza hotel which is on West 45th st.Its about two minutes from Times Square.We had a drink there a few times when we went to NYC in Febuary.I`d recommend it.
15 mins walk from Empire state.

Light ($5 all you can drink), there's some bar on 2nd ave between 34th and 33rd that has a good happy hour, and then Lit is good too.

go to the hotel gansevoort in the meat packing district downtown. they have a couple of good bars in there that have happy hour
