I think Bally's is a very nice and cheap hotel/casino here in Vegas. It's never really mentioned in advertisements, the bigger casino/hotels are getting all the glory. Not to mention they are expensive. Before we decided to make Las Vegas our new place of residence, we visited and stayed at Bally's. I thought it would be a little run down but boy was I surprised! The rooms are beautiful, marble bathrooms, very clean and updated.

I booked the room for $50 a night. It is also nestled smack dab in the middle of the strip so you can walk to just about everything. I also have a tip for you, stay away from the taxis here, they are dangerous!

Limos are actually a cheap mode of transportation if you want to role up to the clubs in style! They run about $60 for a hour and a half. Compare to a funky cab for $20! My hubby drives limos.

If you are looking for a room that's cheaper, odds are they are in downtown Las Vegas where the Fremont Experience is located along with other older hotels/motels. This is the "original" Las Vegas strip and it's OK to visit and tour but I don't recommend staying overnight. It's the hood!!!

Actually, the cheapest hotels are downtown (Freemont st.). The Golden Nugget is great, 4 Queens and the Horse Shoe are also pretty nice. There is also alot of action downtown, it's a more grown-up part of the city. Still the best clubs in the city are on the strip which you will need a taxi to get to.

I would say Imperial Palace is a good deal. It is next door to Caesars and near all the night life. The rooms are okay and you will be in a safe location. Circus Circus is another cheap option, but the location is not as good.

I like the Flamingo. It is central on the Strip and close to Caesar's, Treasure Island, Mandalay Bay, and lots of older casinos. Check on-line for deals!

Hampton Inn Tropicana is clean, safe, and close enough to the Strip.
