They'll take you right there. Less that 100 feet.

It's different at each park. I assume you mean the shuttle that picks you up in the parking lot. Typically, the shuttle drops guests off within about a couple hundred yards of the main gates. You can bring a wheelchair with you if you need to.

Each park has it's own entrance. Shuttles run between some of them. The walk is not far but the wait can be.

Depends on which park (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios). For Magic Kingdom, unless you are staying at their deluxe hotels (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Polynesian), you're going to have to take a shuttle from your hotel to the Transportation Center, where you then take a monorail or a ferry to the entrance of the park. You can take the monorail to Epcot from here as well. For MGM and Epcot, the shuttles drop you off pretty close to the entrance to the parks, not a major walk from where you are dropped off.

If you are talking about WDW in Orlando the busses take you right to the front of the parks. If you go to the Magic Kingdom you can get the monorail directly to the entrance, and you can also get a monorail directly to EPCOT from the transportation and ticket center located at the Disney Magic Kingdom parking lot.

Where are you staying? There are several shuttles to Disney. They all have assigned stopping places with varying distances to the gates and it is different within each park. Most are within a 2-5 minute walk to the front gate.

I am assuming that you are staying at a Disney Resort.
If you are at one of the more expensive resorts the stop is usually closer. If you are at a value resort, you will have the longest walk to the stop. (I just got back last Friday. I was staying at All-Star Movies, and since I have bad knees I took notice to the distance from the stops!) I felt that the longest "hikes" were at Epcot and Animal Kingdom. Sometimes you can catch a break and there might be a courtesy wheelchair available if you need it. The walk itself isn't bad if you are in "fair" health. (even with my bad knees it wasn't bad)

the shuttles will take you to the launch pad or the skyway. you will have about a good city block from the drop point to the actual gates, then you wait in the ticket lines so.... anywhere from 1.5-2 city blocks.
