I am going to San Francisco for 2 weeks. I have already booked a trip to Alkatraz...is there anything else anyone would reccommend doing, I will only have about

We want to visit Las Vegas sometime next year. When is the best time to try and go? We are more interested in the lowest prices than with weather (we all grew up in California and are used to 105 degree weather durring heat waves and very cold weather as well). My mom, dad, 4 year old sister, and me (11 years old) REALLY want to take a vacation. We live in LA we can't go to NY or someplace because it's hard to do that in like 3 days. It can't be that costly but has to be very nice. (my mom is a perfectionist and wants to have really nice everything!) we have around 2-4 days, and have been to San Diego and Palm Springs! If you could help I would be so happy!! Ps. we can do driving and cruises but no airplanes please!
