I'm from Belfast and my friend and I are planning to go to San Diego for two weeks sometime in August. His girlfriend and her friends are over there for 3 months and invited us over for a holiday. However, the flights seem a little expensive! Can anyone advise me what the cheapest way to get there is? I'd imagine we'd have to fly out of Dublin or London. But is it cheaper to fly direct to somewhere in California, or get to New York and get an internal flight to CA? I've been told domestic flights are very cheap in the US. If it's the former, then is there anywhere in CA (or near San Diego) that would work out cheaper to fly to? (we're prepared to get a bus to San Diego). We've looked at direct flights from Dublin/London to San Diego and they're just too pricy. Can't justify paying that much money for a 2 week break. I'd appreciate any help - any advise with regards to airlines and so forth. Cash is tight so we're really looking for the best deal we can. Cheers.

I was lucky enough to visit Seattle and Tacoma for the first time last year. My family and I are now considering relocating. What is the best area for decent jobs and family living. We have a cat and dog and would be interested in renting a house with some yard space. I'm just not sure where to look...Seattle? Tacoma? Somewhere in between??? Any suggestions or advice from experienced WA residents would be appreciated.

My parents went there a few months ago, and a prostitute was found dead a few floors up from their room. I hear that there's tons of prostitution there, and I wasn't sure if it was legal or not. I hope that it isn't.

She is taking care of the place to stay and she says I will not need to bring very much cash.... but I would like to be prepared so if anybody has any suggestions, please help. This is for carry on cash, I will have my card but I would like to avoid using it. Thanks

How long will I be able to be there without a job? Where are some good places to live, if not on the island, close enough to where I could access it daily? How should I go about finding a place to live? Finally, I'm a graphic designer with one year of experience...think I could land a job? Where should I start looking?

Club Med? Tyler Place? Smugglers Notch? Disney? A working farm? Another place? We're looking for a summer place with outdoor activities next year for us and our then-6-year old. She likes activities but not ball-focused sports (she likes other sports).

We'd look to go for four or five days. We'd consider going pretty much anywhere in North or Central America. We live in Maryland. Thanks for your thoughts!
