I spent ten years living in Massachuetts before spending the last few years in California.

I love New England for it's foliage and the seasons and all that good nature'y stuff, but I'm leaning more towards Pennsylvania, just because it always felt comfortable every time I went there. But my options are completely wide open at this point!

Throw out some ideal places for east coast living! Preferably somewhere with a lush, small-town community feel to it.

My bf and I are considering a move from the Bay Area (nor cal) to a small town just outside of Portland, OR (but in Wash state). I have never spent time out there, but he has and two of his best friends now live in Portland. Scared because he'll have a support system and I won't know a soul -- any advice? And what does Portland have that can woo me from San Francisco?

im 18 years old, im currently living in atlanta, and im moving to los angeles, i have never been to los angeles before, so i want to know a place in LA thats safe, im going to study law in LA, so i want an apartment that is either a studio or like a one bedroom, i need a place that is under 1300 dollars, and that is safe to live in, and thats also decent because i really dont wanna live in a place that is cheap and that is horrible. so please be honest.

* we arrive at 7:40 PM on Amtrak
* we plan to check our luggage at Amtrak and go out for the night with nothing but cash and our ID
* we enjoy artsy things, pubs, nightlife, but NOT wild clubs, crazy drugs, or strippers

on craigslist.com i contacted a person who works for a/as broker and wants to sell me discounted tickets for my upcoming trip.
Las Vegas to Sacramento.
He said he will show me a pic on line then I wire money. If I use pay pal it may cost more as it takes 3 days to process with pay pal.
Is this safe? HAVE YOU DONE THIS?
