Washington DC. It's got a bunch of neat shopping, places to eat, and of course, sights galore. It's a neat city to explore. Plus in the area you have all kinds of cultural events going on at different theaters and performing arts centers. There's also two theme parks nearby (Six Flags America and Paramounts Kings Dominion--Kings Dominion's about two hours away but well worth the trip) so you'd have lots of stuff to do and not get bored.
