which place would be a better place for a 18 year old to live.... A)LAGUNA BEACH or B)LOS ANGELES?

Those are 2 different parts of So Cal.. and in 2 different counties too!

Laguna is in Orange County (ie: The OC) and is a younger town but also a gay mecca. It can be pricey to live in Laguna, and you're also away from a lot of stuff, especially the freeway. There is a toll freeway to get to Laguna faster but there's about 2 ways to get in, 2 ways getting out.

Laguna is about 1 1/2 hours from LA downtown.

LA is very spread out, so it depends where in LA you want to live. Being an 18 year old, I would stick to LA, near the college town like Westwood and parts of Long Beach. The other person posted Seal Beach, taht is next to Long Beach.

You're studying law, right? Why not email the school and have them send you an area that's 10 mile radius of the campus. That way you will be near students your age.

Oh, and if you don't have a car, then I would stay in a 3 mile radius of the campus!

I'm pretty sure an 18 year old would like the beach maybe more than you would.
Well, having lived at Seal Beach, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland and Lake Arrowhead with kids of my own. Is there really a difference? The richer neighborhood ppl look down on you but they are no different than you. The poorer neighborhoods have less nice stores but nicer people.
The beach is cold year round.
There are drugs no matter where you go.
I liked Rancho but now it's full of cookie cutter houses.
I guess it would depend on where in L.A.
Do you mean metro? If so, then definitely the beach. It IS more layed back there and will always be a good place for family to visit. I know MY kids loved Seal Beach. I liked Lake Arrowhead much more though.
