I'd like to wear sandals because they're easy to slip off and on, but I've also heard it's possible to pick up someone's foot fungus from the floor. Anyone know how likely that is to occur?

Well as per home office statement on BBC in UK just now.. some minor things have changed! Meanwhile a BA flight bound for New York has had to turn back, because a mobile phone was found on someone's person! Firstly how the heck did this person and phone get through the heightened security??? And also does this person not watch the news.. to know they shouldn't have it with them? and Thirdly if you were clever enuf to get it thru.. shouldn't you just have hidden it!!! It's pathetic that there is no consitency! eg.. you are not meant to have lighters on your person to the US and back.. this has been in place for a while! I have managed to fly with a lighter in my handbag.. so the airport authorities really need to get their act together or these terrorists will manage mass murder by seeing through the loop holes..your views please!! scary stuff!

Due to the strict safety measurement at the airport nowadays. How many hours do you have to arrive at the airport so not to miss your flight? Do you have personal experience? Will the airline give you seat for next available flight? Any charge?

Islamic terroists bent on wanting to kill plane loads of people and certain assbutt whingers who cannot see further than their lipstick and newspaper or other frivolous object whinge because they can't take a bag with them onboard.
Don't they see the seriousness in this? If a flight was blown out of the sky who'd be the first to whine about lack of security? You guessed it the same people who knock them now!

I am an Australian in Canada and my travel insurance ran out 7 days ago. My insurer will not extend my policy as it has been more than 48hrs since it lapsed, and they won't issue a new policy because I have already left the country. Does anyone know of an insurance company that will offer cover after you have already left home?

My motion sickness is getting worse. I have some wrist bands with magnets in them, but the last 2 times I've flown I've felt awful after the flights. What are some good remedies - conventional, homeopathic or other. Thanks.

This upcoming summer I want to backpack through Europe for two months with a companion {either a friend my age or my 20 year old sister}, are age restrictions going to make this trip unpleasent? It 17 old enough to be doing this?
