It depends on where you are flying to and from.
If you are flying within the USA, then you currently CAN take your IPOD on board. The only items you cannot take onboard with you are liquids or gels.
If you are flying internationally, (especially between the UK and the USA) then there are more restrictions and you need to check with your specific airlines.

you can still take it if your not going to any part of US, especially if your from london.
