I would definitely be afraid of going to the Middle East right now, not only for my safety, but because I might not be able to get out easily. I would be afraid of going to African countries that are at war because their governments are so corrupt and evil to their own people, some countries in South America, Communist countries and any country with a dictatorship. Some countries I just won't go to because they are not a friend to America. I won't go to countries that run America down. I have elected to spend my money right here in America for the time being. If I did travel abroad I would go to England as my first choice.

The trouble with most countries is the foreigners. There are obviously some places that you are advised to avoid. Your state department has a list. Otherwise just relax and try to absorb the foods, culture and atmosphere available all over the World. There are many great destinations available suitable to your tastes. Your travel agent can keep you up to date on what you need to know.

I would not say Israel. I just came back. I could have not felt safer. They have the most elite Army in the world. I was called back to my unit for 3 weeks from California as I served in the Israeli army for 6 Years. We are not worried. You must understand Israeli Mentality is to do what has to be done. On the other hand. I would really fear being in LEBANON. After all with Israeli tanks and intelligence. You stand very little hope. Hezbollah did the Lebanese people the biggest injustice. I don't for one second blame Lebanese people. But Hezbollah are a disgrace. All they know is hatred and destruction.

NO I am not afraid as long as there is no war in that country. I do have to say though that Phenom Phen made me very nervous when I was there. But I would go back there.
