I wish to know if I get a standard adapter (not a power converter) to make my 240 volt 3 pin australian applaince fit the 220 - 230 volt Greece, Italian and Egypt power outlet (2 pin), will my 240 volt aplaince work ok or do i still need the additional power converter?

I am planning a trip to Greece this summer. We are thinking maybe 2 or 3 days in Athens to see the major sights and then off to an island. The question is what hotel and sights in Greece, and what island will be the most family friendly. We are pretty low maintenance, but we can't do hostels or anything like that. We prefer Marriot, Hyatt Hilton or at least Holiday Inn.
