Europe (Continental) - April 2007

I want to go for 2 weeks with my boyfriend and see some of the greek islands, We dont want to do the big nightlife thing but also dont want to go anywhere too quiet. Or maybe we could mix it up... open to suggestions. Can anyone reccomend 3 or 4 islands?

Holidaying in Cyprus in June. Am I right in thinking currency is Cypriot Pound? Is it better to take currency or Sterling travellers cheque and then get these changed over there? This is first visit to Cyprus. Staying all inclusive so should not need to take too much money hopefully.

Lately, we ''collect insults from many people about our countries.You about Turkey, we about Greece...And as soon as we react they eliminate our questions, because some people dont want us to defend our countries..

Is this a dead-end for democracy? Because democracy and Ataturk's heritage is the secular state, which is what makes Turkey different than oppressive Islamic regimes, but the intervention of the army in politics is totally unaccepted in democracy (reminds of the dictatorships we had in Greece in the 60's and so on). So how do you feel about it? Is democracy on a tight rope?
