Holidaying in Cyprus in June. Am I right in thinking currency is Cypriot Pound? Is it better to take currency or Sterling travellers cheque and then get these changed over there? This is first visit to Cyprus. Staying all inclusive so should not need to take too much money hopefully.

Hiya, Yes if you are travelling to Southern Cyprus it is Cypriot £'s at the moment it is 85cents to the British £. If you go to the bank when you are over there you may get a bit more. I usually take Travellers Cheques from the Nat. West Bank. Don't worry the money is in the same denominations as ours so it's really easy.Hope you have a great time, if you would like anymore info email me i will tell you where to visit. I go every year and will be there in September. They are only changing to euros next year.

if you mean north cyprus;then the currency is Turkish liras but also dollar and euro is accepted too.

it doesn't matter to have currency or cheques, there are lots of banks that you can go and change them.

June and July is the best time visit wonderfull cyprus.the temperature and the humidity level may be high but it really worths to see there.
