Breakfast is around 10:00 Lunch around 14:00 and dinner anytime after 21:00. The first two happen only on week ends or holidays ever since Greece switched to European working hours. The 9-5 deal. Before, we went to work at 08:00 stopped at 14:00 had a siesta and lunch and went back to work around 17:00 till 20:00. You try and work in scorching heat from May till September especially during the noon an early afternoon hours. Define ordinary. All eastern Mediterranean countries follow the same time table.

When or what? And to whom would it be out of the ordinary?
Greeks usually have small or no breakfast, lunch around 2:00 PM and dinner after 9: 00PM.

Most Greeks do not eat all the necessary meals that are suggested by nutritionists.
That being said most of them (including myself) do not eat breakfast. Breakfast is basically coffee and off they start with their day.
Around 2-3pm is "mesimeriano" which is a full meal (it is lunch and super combined).
And of course the most unhealthy after 8pm they either eat at home another meal or go to a restaurant.

i answer this question believing that u r just curious and that u r not looking to find something that could characterize Greeks as bizarre (to use a gentle term).... We eat when we r hungry of course. Breakfast is not a real habit in Greece yet (but it is becoming one!), lunch time is a little later than in the rest of Europe due to different working hours (we usually get off work at 14.00 - 16.00 and eat when we get home) and dinner time is again a little bit later due to the same reasons...
Hope i answered your question!!!!

The difference with other Europeans is that we have a tendency to have a big dinner out in a restaurant late in the evening (9-10 p.m.). Other than that, breakfast is usually small, and lunch is a proper meal when we are at home, but a sandwich or cheese pie if we are at work.

Well Greeks in Greece do not eat a huge breakfest. Maybe one egg and some potatoes. Nothing real big. Then later at 2, or three pm they have a huge lunch. They may go out or stay in and cook. After the bug lunch they like to stay in and take a nap because in Greece the temperature is the hottest during that time. Then several hours later at 10 they eat a big dinner, and usually go out to Tavernas(bars) and clubs.

Well, it depends on your definition "out of the ordinary" - because for me it is very normal to have no breakfast at all (like most of my friends) and dinner around 21.00. In any case, Greeks who also have lunch, they do so around 1-3 o'clock.

3 meals a day i suppose, breakfast, lunch and dinner
normally dinner is eaten at about 9 to 10 at night and that i would think is the biggest difference with western european countries where dinner is normally at 6 or 7 o clock.
