If you do not challenge to fight them you will be safe.

It is very beautiful country with hospitable people who will make outsiders feel welcome as long as outsiders respect Russians and their culture.

I was in Russia couple of times and I was all right.
Is Russia a criminal country?? I do not know. I know that my California is not safe at all.

I have been 2 times in Russia without problems, but it's true that there is lot criminality and ... avoid policemen (russian people will tell you this as well)!

Sure I have been twice and did not have any problems. I will say unless you speak Russian hire a guide or go with a tour group. You will have a lot more fun.

sure, why not. Russia is a great country to visit. and no, people do not keep brown bears as pets.

Sure. Nowadays- Russians want our $$$, they don't want our heads. You're worth alot more to them- ALIVE as a tourist, than anything else. It's a GREAT Country to visit & check out...
