hey friend,
we all know that such people are pathetics. they are only able to use some cells remained in their brains for fascism and provocking. do they enjoy by doing this? definiately, yes.
i am bored of answering such brainless fascists. so i dont answer them anymore because as i go on to answer them, one of them stops and another one starts to do the same.
i suggest u to do the same my friend, Leonarda...
greetings from istanbul...

Turks, for sure, are very helpfull and eager to teach their culture to others, so you will have no problem finding friends to help you with your efforts in learning Turkish, so take it easy :) But after some point, you may need some pro or semi-pro help as you lean on the lingual issues, and as a linguist, I am, too, ready to help you here like other fellas, hehe. My Turkish side has outwitted the other part, lol. I am semi-American, semi-Turkish, though have been living in Turkey recently... To "LE PETIT PRINCE STEFOUN" : Its not appropriate for you to search for a gay Turkish friend here (here meaning "under this very title", another specific title would be more appropriate) and I hope its merely a joke, but all the same, its incredibly difficult to find a gay Turkish friend, since officially, only 0,3% of the Turkish population is gay unlike American liberty about it lol:))) To "coendorphinrush' Oh come on, dont tell me about tolerance, I was just kidding around with no serious intentions about gay people, having gay pals, even relatives, who are abundantly around me in Boston and NY, but Turkey is nothing compared to Western countries, lets discuss it elsewhere, not here. Your answer to me exceeds the original part! lol.

Yeah, I understood u.
Unfortunaltely some people use this site as a provocking area and the so-called Armenian genocide is the most famous one against Türkiye as u know. Sometimes we react "hard" for these kind of questions and these reactions seem defending our country like a racist nationalists.
I agree with u, we must not forget that yahoo!q/a is a friendship, ideas and information site. So, we dont have to react. It would be better for our countries if we tell our ideas in a cool way. I usually try to do this.
Good luck neighbour...

Leonarda is right. We get a lot of provocative and offensive questions, like the one I had to answer yesterday, when somebody under a bristish nick name was looking for information about prostitutes and escorts in Istambul, as if he didn't have any in his country. Anyway, I think that being limited to the "travel" section and not having official and separate pages for our countries where we can discuss what all the other countries are entitled to, is defining us as touristic destinations only and not entities... I propose we all officially ask Yahoo to create for our countries pages like the ones that Italy, France, Canada or even India have, where there is the opportunity to discuss about a variety of issues, and ofcourse unswer to offensive questions without the risk of your answer to be removed because of abuse, with the excuse that it's not relative to "travel", while the offensive "answer" remains there because it is usually expressed in an "innocent" way, like the one about the ways to cook Turkey (Remeber?)

Our countries have been the cradle of civilization, I consider an insult to greeks an insult to my own people. Can you give an example for the provocations?

Isn't this funny?
A Texan bought a round of drinks for all in the bar and said that his wife had just produced "a typical Texas baby" weighing twenty pounds.
Two weeks later he returned to the bar. The bartender recognized him and asked, "Aren't you the father of the typical Texas baby that weighed twenty pounds at birth?"
"Yup, shore am!"
"How much does he weigh now?"
The proud father answered, "Ten pounds."
The bartender said, "Why, what happened? He did weigh twenty pounds."
The proud Texas father said, "Jast had him circumcised!"
Dear Leonarda,Smile to day, dont worry be happy.Saerch to "Mevlana".........take care.

hi Leonarda!
you are right that there are lots of racist people here who wants to provake us and so,we have to prevent our country and honour by the answers they deserve!
i don't think reacting to the provakers will make us uncivilised.we should react because they should know that they aren't welcomed anymore in Turkey section.you know there was jean-charles who distrubed us everyday but know he doesn't do this.why? because we reacted all of his silly questions.
actually i know what you mean :) i agree with you.in this web site friendship should be important first.
