I wish to know if I get a standard adapter (not a power converter) to make my 240 volt 3 pin australian applaince fit the 220 - 230 volt Greece, Italian and Egypt power outlet (2 pin), will my 240 volt aplaince work ok or do i still need the additional power converter?

absolutely, as long as your adapter fits. the voltage is close enough and the difference in hz is 10. and that is also no problem, plug it in and away you will go.

As long as you can get a adapter that physically goes from 3 pins to 2 pins, it should work. Most appliances are built to have 20-30 volt tolerance. Parts of it might get warmer than normal, but they should be fine.

You just need a plug adapter, the 10-20 volt difference will be unnoticeable. Most networks fluctuate anyway so appliances have tolerance built in. I know it works the other way round - when I go to Australia I plug my computer straight in, and my girlfriend uses her hairdryer (I've no hair, or I would too!). Have a good time!

Not really the voltage difference is negligible. Things will work slightly slower but just as good.
