How can I find a cheap apartment to rent in Amsterdam for a month, 30 March till 30 April.

Renting an apartment in Amsterdam is practically impossible even for natives who live here already for may years. If you want to move, there are waiting lists for about 10 years. You're probably better of in a hostel leaving your valuable belongings in a save at the airport or the central station of Amsterdam.
