Hey there!
I am moving from Sydney to Brisbane in a few months and am desperately trying to find a suburb to live in! I dont know the area very well so I was wondering if you guys could help me out? Work is taking me to a place called Logan so I would like to live somewhere around there (although I heard Logan isnt the best area around) I am looking for somewhere east of Brisbane maybe near he river? I heard of a place called Norman Park so maybe around there?? If its nice? I would love to live in a "higher class" family area (i.e low crime etc). Currently I live in Vaucluse in Sydney (eastern suburbs) so I guess I am looking for the equivalent in the east in Brissy. Hope you can help!! Thanks a bunch!! Moving state is SO hard! especially when you dont know the areas!! =)

Hi all,

I would like to hire a car whereas I am 20 and I past my licence last january in France. Old cars are welcomed:) I have already found a place where I can hire a camper (http://www.wickedcampers.com.au/) but the first plan was just a little car which doesn't consum a lot of petrol... I have already checked a lot of websites so every major compagnies don't rent to people of my age in Australia.
So you are my last chance!
Thanks a lot for your answers!

Where they withhold food and medical care to Asians seeking asylum. Even the author of Schindler's List has compared it to Nazi concentration camps.

I just watched a dvd of the movie Swimming Upstream and I am fascinated with the rusty things on the beach, I assume they are remains of WWII ships. Can anyone tell me exactly where they are and where I could find some more photos of them.

I'm American and about to graduate with my Civil Engineering degree. I am interested in getting a job in Australia or New Zealand in Civil Engineering. I was wondering how hard it is for an American to find and get a job in those places.

Are they any cheap trains and buses from Sydney to Brisbane? And if you know, is there a train from Brisbane to Mackay or The Whitsundays?

I live in England and was wondering what i need to be able to live in Australia perminantly.
I don't want to live there for 6 months and come back for 6 months.
Ive heard that you can get residency if you have a degree or higher education is this true?
What other documents would i need to be able to work over there and live permantly?

This dude I know who's from Australia said he was picked up by a kangaroo when he was 6 years old. I think he said it happened in his backyard, but I can't remember exactly. He said that if the kangaroo would have leaned back onto his tail, that he could have been ripped to shreds or something like that.

Do you think he's telling the truth? Please only answer if you know something about Australia/kangaroos.

THANKS!
