Marble Bar WA

It is known as 'the hottest town in Australia' a fact which is still recorded by the Guinness Book of Records. For 161 consecutive days to 20 April 1924 the temperature in the town never dropped below 100°F (37.8°C). This record still stands after nearly seventy years.

"Warmest" in terms of highest daily average year around it's probably Darwin. Towns in the Outback may have a higher daily maximum, but at night temperature drops significantly which results in lower daily averages.

If you like have a look at some climate charts of australian towns; they will tell you which temperture ranges (daily max, daily min also precipitation) where to expect in each month:

The statements about Marble Bar are confused. Its record is the longest period of consecutive days with a maximum temperature above 38°C. Overnight the temperature dropped well below that but it rose again each day.

The highest official temperature recorded in Australia is 52.8°C at Oodnadatta in northern South Australia. Cloncurry in northwest Queensland claims 53.1°C but this was recorded on non-standard equipment.
