There is this arguement in below YA, an asker said that the moves of American teachers in China were closely monitored by the Schools or Chinese government / secret agents, and camaras were installed at the entrances of your accomodation / buildings, ...etc... below is the link... is that the real fact?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuHtflPHBfP7m9s7wYQqSeXty6IX?qid=20070510154046AAwB1tH&show=7#profile-info-418d2e9812dceb72c6c1d038184e789baa

Please let me know whether you guys are in the situation of what the asker said in his question. If so, tell me why you are still staying in China? (Though I do not believe Chinese govenment would waste energy / time / money on monitoring the moves of foreign English teachers!)

i've ben here for nearly 3 months living in a residential address, and they said they needed it for some kind of registration..i wasn't happy giving it to them, but they said it would keep me out of jail!..the thing is, they wont give it back to me for a week..by that time my three month visa will expire, and i was just wondering if that will cause any problems when travelling to Hong Kong to fly home? ie, crossing the border?..incidently, i will have to alter my flight home because of this..at a cost of $100 US, and my travel insurance will expire as well..i said i was leaving in 2 days time, but that made no difference...is all this normal for tourists, this registration thing when staying at a residential apartment in China?
Any comments would be much appreciated..just mainly worried about the Visa thing...funny how they noticed me, out of 12 million others in this city!

I'm thinking of working from Thailand for a couple of months (I have an internet business). I only want to pay myself 1,200 euro /1,600 dollars a month. I would like to stay
somewhere fairly lively, but need to be able to work from home and have fast broadband internet access. Can anybody recommend a location and suggest how I find somewhere to stay?

What is the most cost effective way to travel from Narita Airport to Tokyo?. I want to have a 2 day lay over in Narita but would like to travel to Tokyo.

If there is a train service to the city, that would be great. The last time I was in Tokyo, I took a bus service direct to the airport and it cost me US$30 for a 1 way trip.

Any directions related to the train service will be much appreciated.
