What are the Characteristics of Filipinos that made them outstanding? in other hand, what made them fall?

Yes, the filipina women are outstanding in my opinion.
I will not comment about the filipino men. I let others do that.
The filipina's can adapt to most situations which is very commendable.
Filipina women is the reason why the country and many families is still standing.
Filipina know how to use and create their own resources and network.
Filipino's are beautiful people and I don't like when someone of another race speaking badly about filipino's.
I learned that filipino people don't need people from other races speaking against them and their country because they already know better than anyone about their problems.

GOOD,
EDSA '86. A bloodless revolution. Jose Rizal would have been happy to see that.
Adaptability - put a Filipino anywhere and they'll adapt to their environment.
The ability to see humour inspite of everything.
Love of life. Filipino live their life to the fullest inspite of the poverty that surrounds them.
Hospitality - will give their best food to visitor even if they don't eat for a long time.
Sacrifice - they'll sacrifice everything for the sake of their children's future.
Wherever they are, whatever they are, the Filipino always try to make a Filipino community even at the ends of the earth.
Not all Filipinos are liars, nor cheaters, Filipinos live the way they alone knows how.
BAD,
Like anywhere else, you have good and bad. But it is a poor country and there is a lot of crime and many people want money (and they try to cheat). So those were the only problems I encountered (similar to my experience in Africa). Also online there are many Filipinos and Africans trying to get money - especially in the Yahoo Chat rooms. Around 8 out of 10 IMs I get are from people in Africa and Philippines and more than half of those ask me for money.
Many of the Filipinos actually think bad about Americans. I can understand some of their reasons. But just have to remember, everyone is different...

Our ability to be flexible makes us above the rest. Other people can't blend with other cultures easily unlike the way we do. The development lag in the Philippines makes others think that we can't easily adapt to other cultures but it's not really like that. The fact that the country was invaded and became a favorite spot for trades in the past among neighboring countries made the Filipinos open to different cultures. (History tells we've been exposed to cultures)

Who the heck is giving all those thumbs down? People, this question calls for our opinions...right or wrong - we have to respect each other's viewpoints. And yeah, give it a thumbs up if you agree with what someone has said. But if you disagree, it doesn't mean you can thumb it down. The thumbs down is for answers that are exceedingly rude or totally uncalled for (i.e., morally reprehensible!). None of the answers above deserve any thumbs down! Sorry for ranting.
Oh yeah, I agree with everything being said of the Filipino women. On their behalf, I thank you all. I also agree with most of your observations regarding the Filipino people, in general. So how come nobody is saying much about our menfolks? In their defense, let me just say that Filipino men are great lovers!!! Geez, ladies, is that too hard to say? LOL

what would make us outstanding would be our resiliency. we have fallen so many times in the past but we are up and running again.
what made us fall? i would say our misguided beliefs. most of us are roman catholics but it seems that we practice a different form of christianity. the disparity between the haves and have nots would make us wonder what happened to the teachings of Christ.

Filipino are the BEST!!
EVERYTHING about us makes us the best
We are hardworkers and survive through struggles
we fall from not all staying as one, a lot of us don't stick to our own race, and we fight amongst ourselves instead of others, which brings us down, while the others rise, we have to come together as one and stop fighting each other, we are all family
even though we fall we are Still Above the rest

=)......filipinos are very warm-hearted people. we treasure our families a lot and we always strive our best in everything we do. we can easily adapt to certain changes like OFWs abroad who really need to adjust to a lot of things just to sustain their families needs. we are very religious people and very hospitable to our visitors.
=(.....on the other hand, filipinos especially those involved in politics are usually tempted to cheat. there are really corrupt ones who takes the money of the people for their own good.

The Filipinos arent particularly outstanding but the FILIPINAS are.Great country ,friendly people,the downside there is the poverty,im going next month to Luzon to get married. You gotta love the price of the beer.

They are very adaptable people. The women are hot (been married to one for 28 years). However, they tolerate a level of corruption that is totally unbearable to a westerner (My forefathers took on the most powerful nation on earth over a tax on tea).
