your opinions would really be appreciated.

we've been together for 2 years now. we love each other, even though she doesn't trust me. she goes on and on that i will cheat on her. even though i promised her and i said how loyal i am to her. what do i do? i'm going crazy because of just that

well, i haven't cheated on her. but she did been cheated over her past relationship. i really assured her and talk this one out. but every week or so, she would accuse me of having flirted with somebody else or i really like some girl and replace her with that. i really showed her that she's my one and only. but the re-occurrence of her accusations hurts me the most even with my efforts. i feel like my love for her is in vain :(

I am going to Hangzhou, China to teach English this summer but the school there says that I must pass the physical exam that the government authorizes. I'm not sure what the requirements are to pass the physical exam, do you know? I am visually mpaired, my vision in both eyes is 20/200 corrected with glasses. One of the main reasons I want to go to China is because there is better transportation in China then the United States where everyone has to drive a car. Where can I find that material on the physical exam requirements and would I pass the physical exam to teach? Please let me know what you find.

Because I'm really, really, really thinking I'd like to go. I've been to France and Jamaica, but never China, and am not exactly a seasoned world traveler. However, I love pandas, and this looks like volunteering in panda heaven.

If North and South Korea were united, how would South Korea deal with the issue of teaching North Koreans that the things they learned in school were lies. Also, their religon:

"The story of the Kims' descent is surrounded with mythology. Children in schools are taught that they came down from heaven, and were placed on the top of Mount Paektu, where they were transformed into human beings. At public events, songs are sung that depict the leaders as saviours of the country as well as of each individual citizen, thus elevating them to the level of deities." - wikipedia

How do you go about telling people that their beliefs and their knowledge of the world is all a fabrication without offending them and making them feel inferior. Wouldn't North Koreans in school with South Koreans also be prone to being made fun of and laughed at if they expressed opinions and shared knowledge that they were taught in North Korea?

(This question may be difficult, but please be serious)

Can someone please translate "Hope you have a good night" or "Hope you are having a good day" into Thai?

Also, "Keep it real" - Like slang "keep it real, homey"

A little random...but i would appreciate it. Informal translation would be best...like two young adults speaking conversationally. Thanks!

I was born in Hong Kong but immigrated with my family to USA when I was a child. I heard that I can obtain a Hong Kong ID that would allow me to travel through out mainland China without the need for an entry visa, which I do need using a US passport. Does anyone know how this process work? I am planning to visit Hong Kong in July and would like to arrange for obtaining the ID. Thanks.

I just finished reading some of the questions under the Philippine category. I'm kind of wondering why I see more thumbs down rather than thumbs up? I feel "crab mentality" all over the place. For whatever reason or purpose, that, I do not know. No one seems to be satisfied of anything. Having our opinions would be good but instead of putting a thumbs down, why not just answer the question and voice out that opinion.

I'm Filipino, I just happened to have been raised abroad. I know there are some english words that have been "bastardized" there in the Philippines like "let's MAKE tikim" or " i wnat to MAKE padala my letter".
But the most unforgivable misinterpretation of an english word there in the Phlippz is "salvage". Everyone I knew there, including my english teacher when I studied the 1 year of high school at UPHCR (1999), defined it as something horrible ranging from being tortured to being killed in front of one's spouse. Doen'st salvage mean being rescued? As in the "Salvation" army? As in Jesus will bring us salvation = salvage?
I hit me again last week, when my friend from Manila told me that if he ever sees Osama Bin Laden, he'll "salvage" the Al Quaeda leader. What the fork? It ended in an argument about the word's definition all evening.
So please, my fellow Yahoo users, tell my idiot friend that he is wrong by writing in YOUR definition of "salvage".

If I'm going to a Japanese wedding I've been told that I should take cash as a gift, and that it should be new and folded. Is this right? I've also been told that bride and groom are supposed to reciprocate your gift - and that they will give you something to the value of about a third of your gift. Is this true? If so, do they give cash or a gift? And at the wedding, or later?
