I just finished reading some of the questions under the Philippine category. I'm kind of wondering why I see more thumbs down rather than thumbs up? I feel "crab mentality" all over the place. For whatever reason or purpose, that, I do not know. No one seems to be satisfied of anything. Having our opinions would be good but instead of putting a thumbs down, why not just answer the question and voice out that opinion.

Sometimes, I have this feeling that those people giving lots of thumbsdown are those who are not happy, therefore, no one should be happy.
Opinions, I respect but this I noticed... when I go to different categories, the thumbs down are somehow reasonable. (Sometimes, I also do it because I find some answers unfair and wasted.) However, I noticed particularly in the Philippine section that the thumbs down thing is becoming a bad habit. I see some sensible answers having thumbs down. Does this reflect something else far deeper than a mere thumbs down?
Oh, well...

* Yes, this isn't a travel question. My bad. I just don't want to categorize this anywhere else but here.
* No, this isn't a complaint. It's an opinion and a question. Simple as that.

Your question was articulate, coherent and inoffensive. Accordingly, I suggest the problem is not yours, but those who reply in a negative fashion.
Perhaps their lives and personalities are sufficiently sad that they can only express themselves negatively?
Ignore them.

You do not gain or lose from a thumbs up or thumbs down. The thumbs down can be somewhat frustrating especially when the answer given is relevant and/or good.
Some people here seem to attract the thumbs down more than others and it doesn't matter whether their answer is good or not.
The "gang" giving all the thumbs down should wake up to themselves and voice their opinions fairly.
When I come across this 'ganging' up I try to give a thumbs up to the 'victims.'
I do give out thumbs down if, in my opinion, the answer is totally incorrect, vulgar (gameho_extreme), racist or just stupid. I do this without favour or bias--I have even given the old Filamusa and Moneymonkey a couple of thumbs up for some good relevant answers (not many though).

I basically provide human beings thumbs down if i think of they are being impolite with regards to the question being asked. this happens each and all of the time interior the ask your self area, human beings calling women propose names and merely making comments that are so pointless. This website is to benefit guidance, no longer get harrassed on. in case you do no longer basically like the question and can't provide a real answer you ought to no longer answer then.

It's because an answerer here in YAP doesn't have a friend. That creature is too grumpy, paranoid & been using different accounts for such one big dufus troll family to attack the answerers. It only proves it that it doesn't belong to any categories or to wherever that creature may go. Let that thing exercise its happiness. Very pathetic but it's true. (wink, wink) (--,)
ADD:
btw, here's a thumbs-up for everyone except for the trolls. (--,)

Don't sweat it. This will come to pass. It's just a troll or someone having a bad week. There are lots of folks on the outside of a tight little group like TAP that see it as a hostile reminder that they don't belong. They won't step up and say hi, I want to be part of the group, they lash out at it. Take it as a signal . . . someone needs a hug (Ang nakakatuwa de ba?).

If I was you, I would not worry about thumbs down.
If you have something meaningful to say or you wanted to add your 2 cents make it happen. Some people just don't like truth of the matter being told.
Thumbs down should not hurt you at all.

Two reasons ---
1) they deserve it because their answers are utterly rude and downright offensive or racist...these are the constipated ones
2) there are patrollers around here who have nothing better to do...they are probably constipated too
constipated - not my word; just borrowing from Allan Y.

because someone's brain can't handle the questions so "they" just give thumbsdown.
just ignore it, me i'm just waiting for my profile to get deleted then i'm done here.
There are group of friends here who actually lives on the same state? who does nothing but give me thumbsdown, one of them openly attacked me before and the rest of that group just pretend that they don't know a thing.
it's not a big deal it's just a thumbsdown from my imaginary "friends" here.
