There is so much to tell and many people here has told you so much already I don't need to add.

Invest in a travel book about Thailand - lonely planet guide is a good start. If anything - a book about Thai culture is good because as much as there are a lot to see, you can cope with that. It's the culture shock and social graces which you will need to know.

Some tips: SMILE A LOT and show good manners. Thai people are into good manners and respect. Show respect to their culture and they will go out of their way to make you feel really welcome. DO NOT criticise or say anything bad about the King of Thailand - just don't!!
Other than that - go - enjoy yourself. Thai people love having fun. try all the food, your taste buds will love yo forever.

The mortality rate due to road accidents is over 15 times that of Europe. Please ensure that you take precautions when travelling on Thai roads such as ensuring the vehicle you are travelling in has seat belts, wearing a crash helmet on a motorbike and avoiding travelling in a car where the driver is drunk. Drink-driving is extremely widespread in Thailand. The police will let the locals drive on after paying a $3 bribe.

Take precautions and you will have a good time.

P.S. On this question, you have never been to Thailand. On another question, you say you are Thai.

You are going to have to begin liking curry in about every meal. Everyone cooks with a lot of curry over there. Also do not go anywhere near the place called Alcazar. Its just a show where people who USED to be men, are dressed as women. It's real freaky. Thailand is the number one capital for transvestites.

I gave my Thai girlfriend $50 so that her mother, who lives in Chiang Mai, could buy a water buffalo. Then I found out that her husband used the money to buy a set of anodized rims for his Honda wave.

It has beautiful beaches, its capital is Bangkok, the Thai people are strict adherents of Buddhism and do not swat insects, and, unlike most Asian countries, they eat with a fork and spoon.

It's a very beautiful vibrant country with many different natural zones.

Juggles and mountains in the north.

Large open farmlands central.

Beautiful coastal beaches and islands in the south.

Wonderful food, crafts, exotic temples and culture, and the people are very friendly and polite.
