There is a lovely corner of South West Saudi Arabia that is sparsely populated
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabuk_Province

Most of the population lives in the one main city while the costal areas along the Red Sea and across from the Sinai Peninsula are virtually uninhabited.

It would be incredibly easy to pick some nice sections of costal land that would be easy for habitation.

Why not move the majority of Palestinians there? They will be closer to Mecca, and it would be only a 10% increase in the population of Saudi Arabia.

I will even make it even better; Israel will pay for the whole thing. It will pay for houses to be built, and the infrastructure to be put in place long before they get their.

Basically they will have a better standard of living then they ever did or could achieve where they live now.

Whom ever has a problem with this idea, go and reflect it back on the other one.

And you can do three things, what would you choose?

- I know some people will want to put insults etc, but it just undermines your cause. So instead, just put honest answers without anything nasty.

I mean a truly racist comment, not just when a person is confused or ignorant about Judaism/being Jewish.

Does your response depend on the person and situation, or have you developed a specific answer to racist comments?

Do you ever feel like you personally are the one to stand up and fight for your side (Israel, Palestine?) Do you actually think that the ME is checking out YA to see what we think? Do you ever step back and say "hey i'm American , or Canadian , or European? And realize that the majority of the others here also are? So then why, do we cut through each others opinion and hurt and insult each other? And If we met each other in person , are we this vicious in real life?

I was under the impression that Jesus is never mentioned by name in the Old Testament and that though there are references to a messiah, it's clear it is not Jesus.

Why do many Christians insist that Jesus IS mentioned, though? And in such a way that it's 'clear' it's him?

If I've got it all wrong, please do tell me! Thanks for your help.

If they did they would accept the two-state solution and not just say so in English and say differently in Arabic. Alas the majority of them show themselves to be war mongers and propagandists instead. Will a sane and responsible Palestinian regime please stand up?

I have a friend who wants to visit Israel with her husband. Thing is, they are terrified to fly! Is there a boat that goes from the USA to Israel one way? And then another boat from Israel to USA? (like the old days before airplanes) They look to stay about a month.

Micah had sculptered images and molten images of gods that became a shrine that a Levite from bethlehem took care of before the tribe of Dan stole them and the Levite happily going with the tribe. Isnt this forbidden? To make images and worship other gods?

I found Judges to be a bit confusing since so many things forbidden are happening in the book yet the people doing them are made out to be heroes such as Samson marrying a non Jew.

H....I am going to take over from your question

Ahmadinejad's exact words in Farsi

Dowlat e Zionist ( The Zionist state ) az sahf e roozegar ( from the pages of time) bayad mahv shavad ( must be erased).

Just like the Soviet Union has been consigned to history ,peacefully , as well as the apartheid regime in South Africa, so will the Zionist state...but the people and the land will remain in tact. This was a call for regime change not genocide!

As for holocaust denial, you heard him all yuorself at Columbia. He said " yani mitavaanim ghabool konim ( let us accept) daghighan in toure pish biyaad ( it happened exactly as alleged) vali chera ( but why) mardom e phelestee ( the Palestinian people be janayat e europai ( for the crime of europeans) makhoom o keyfar mishavand? ( must be sentenced and punished?)

Sorry my zionist pals...but I know Farsi and I know what my President said : You just want to spin this for your own despicable ends.

There are some terms that people in Islamic and Western countries should never say to each other, because they confuse and inflame more than they clarify. The most obvious ones would be “jihad”, “crusade” and “great satan”. All of them are used in somewhat innocuous ways by the people who utter them, but mean something completely different – and much more inflammatory – to foreign ears.

When Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad mentioned the "myth of the holocaust" He knew what he meant by the phrase, and I know what he meant, but if he thinks that most people in the West are going to hear it and respond with anything more profound than “Holocaust deniers!” then they are deeply ignorant.

When he “denies” the “myth” of the Holocaust, he is not denying theHolocaust, he's not even duscussing it.

It's all about finding a justification to bring about regime change in Iran.

Or why else did he get misinterpreded?

I was going through the Israel section in Travel when I came upon the phrase "As most American olim are both religious and Zionistic". What is an American olim? Why do you consider them to be religious? Why do you consider them to be Zionistic. What is the true significance of these three words? The way it sounds to this old American Jew is you only want us in Israel is for our money and not for acceptance. I am being very serious when I ask this question. I really what to know the truth.
