I've asked questions before to understand the basics, that Jewish people believe in the old testament (Torah), also the 613 commandments I've gotten through the first 100 about. And I've come to see that Judaism has the same basic beliefs of love and peace that Islam has. Sorry also that Jewish people don't believe Jesus was a prophet? But that part confuses me, I understand that a Jewish person can be an atheist, they can also believe in Jesus or Allah if they choose. But I really have tried. Peace! I'm ready Shanti, yellah , Judaism 101 plz. Sorry I did not want to seem rude. but if religion is the problem in this section? I'm all for it. Let's teach each other. My memory works strange mind me, I also see some Jews say that the messiah did not come yet. So they don't go to Israel? And some believe that Jesus is the messiah. I read all. But then I see many argue about that , so I don't know in the end what's correct and what's not. Inat: I beg to differ with you, everything I've said above I've learned here in this section. Ask any one. And yes I do see the differences of opinions. And yes if I really want to know about Judaism , i will go to a synagogue. Thank you.

I will learn Islam to enrich my knowledge by:
- Buying a copy of Koran and read it by myself
- Buying a DVD set about Islam from a neutral vendor in the internet
- Looking for any available information about Islam from a neutral source in the internet
Neutral is non-sectarian, in this context.
The three steps I mention above are important for me to learn further about Islam from unbiased sources.

i am also a muslim, and think that people (jews included) should learn about islam. however, i think that it should work both ways: muslims should learn about other faiths too. there are ignorant people on both sides of the fence, if you see what i'm saying...

I know about Islam. I have taken classes on Islam, know people of the Muslim faith, and have done my own search to learn about Islam. I know that the Koran teaches some things that are similiar to Judaism, I know about fasting during Ramadan during the sunrise, I know that Muslims(most) eat Halal meats, and prayer is 5x a day facing Mecca. Friday is the day for Masjid. The Koran is in Arabic, but I have a version in Urdu as well. Muslim people believe Muhammad is Allah's prophet that was sent to teach about Islam and love.
Now with all of that being said, I am angry at people who dislike Israel and call for its destruction, I have found that although there is a peace treaty between Egypt and Israel , many Egyptians still don't like Israel. It is quite bothersome as Israel gave up the Sinai to make peace with its Arab neighbor. It seems like the Muslims say they want peace and get what they want out of Israel, then they start attacking Israel with rockets, terror, and suicide bombers. I know that most Muslims are probably peaceful, but so are the Jews. We are all fighting to defend our causes, but we should learn about eachother and work together.

Now you may find this hard to believe, but in fact I have always found the Islamic faith intriguing. Not least because there are many similarities between Judaism and Islam. But I always end up being reminded - usually by posts on this site - that many Muslims despise Israel and won't even accept our right to have a Jewish state in the middle east.
I mean, really, does it seem reasonable to you: Israel takes up a mere 0.01 per cent of the middle east, such a tiny area, and yet you begrudge us even that. Fair?

man would you drop it?
this is a questions and answers site. you ask a question targeted at a certain sect or religion (in this section), and people of that sect/ religion will give you an answer.
the way you phrased it will simply get loads of non-Jews/non- muslims answering the question just insulting and racially profiling Judaism and Islam.
I cant stop you from doing anything, but i just want to tell you to keep this a clean forum, with no hate or anything. you aren't the only one, but you are the only one i know of personally.
Now please tell me... what's the concept and point of this question? Does it and can it potentially have a straight answer?
This isnt a place for discussions, it's a place where you ask a question, and you get a straight answer.
I dont speak from experience, I just speak from my personal knowledge. My knowledge is not for you to accept or follow, but simply listen to it, even if you will forget it.
You can report this 'answer', it doesn't really bother me.
Shame
EDIT: Yay, i got a thumbs down... i'm guessing it's courtesy of mikail brown (spelling?). anyway. i just noticed its in the travel section. however much you think ALL Israelis care about this subject, this question belongs in the religion section... where, believe it or not, everyone DOES care about this subject.
