-If the Muslims deny Israel why should we not deny Palestine?

-If Muslims deny the Holocaust, in which 6 Million Jews were murdered by the German people, why should we not deny the 10,000 or so Muslims who were killed in the War in the Balkans under Slobodan Milosovij?

How do Muslims deny the existence of Jews in Israel before them and that the two Jewish Temples never existed? How do they account for archaeological evidence that Jews were there over 2,700 years before them? Oh yes, they have a certain nasty habit of destroying evidence and artifacts.....

-How can B claim that Israeli soldiers rape the women, gas the civilians, drink the blood of babies, etc, If she herself claims to be Iraqi, and her father in the Iraqi Army under Saddam Hussein? You're telling me that Saddam's army hugged and kissed 500,000 Kurds and 150,000 of his own Arab Shi'ites to death? As she said herself, "My family was proud to serve our country under orders from the Iraqi ruler."

A person walked up to the Ka'bah and detonated himself? Or what if a large group of people decided to turn the area around the Ka'bah including the structure itself into housing? What if the Ka'bah were destroyed, and all the pieces and remnants mercilessly destroyed to make way for a relic for a different religion? And what if, in that new building, the people who destroyed the Ka'bah gathered to pray but also to preach intolerance of Muslims everywhere? What if a small group of people drew up plans to blow up the Ka'bah? What if large groups of people gathered on festival days to throw stones on the heads of those worshiping there?

What would happen not only in Mecca but in the entire Muslim world?

I welcome all answers, I would sincerely like to know.

Does anyone else find that the only people who claim that "everyone calls them anti-semitic simply because they disagree with some of Israel's policies" are indeed anti-Semetic? I have many close friends from Lebanon, Palestine and the UAE (to name a few), and all of these people are reasonable and enlightened. We agree in our desire for peace, and are all dedicated to the cause. In order to do this, we talk with open minds. We work to transcend our own biases (let's all admit we have them), and truly try to see things from the other perspective. Usually when we disagree it is because someone doesn't understand the other point of view; discussion usually leads to a compromise or shared viewpoint.

These people sometimes criticize Israeli policy, or Israel. I do the same and so does my family; Israel is not perfect, nor is any other country, and we all desire improvement.

These people feel ok criticizing Israel, and know that Jews don't hold it against them.

The Arab nations and the so-called Palestinians has actually accepted the UN partition in 1947 and what the world would be like today? We would have lived in a much better place and all the deaths would have never occurred.

Good Luck!!!

Two of my friends are arguing over Hebrew. One insists that modern Hebrew, as now spoken in Israel, is very different from 'ancient' or 'classical' Hebrew.

But another friend insists it's very similar and that apart from some words having to be added for things that didn't exist back then, biblical hebrew and today's hebrew are remarkably similar.

I tend to agree with the latter. Can anyone resolve this for us please? All info much appreciated, thanks :)

Do you know a lot about Christianity? I know tons because I go to a Christian private school. It's kinda weird because well, we're so different. Except, many of them are so anti- semitic, it's not even funny. Like my older sister and me, there's this teacher who's constantly calling us "Stiff neck Jews" or just "Hey Jew"in the hallway. I think my mom's gonna go yell at him tomorrow though.

Syria is among the most untrust worthy nations in the world is it not?

See: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071113/ap_on_re_mi_ea/israel_syria_1 Or is Olmert just giving a song and dance because he knows Syria will not negotiate in good faith so he puts the offer out there to sway world opinion his way (or at least US opinion)?

Good Luck!!!

I'm new in this section, but in general on this site I've read many posts that challenge the importance of Jerusalem to Jews.

I'd like to ask Muslims something, though; these are genuine questions and not designed to cause offence.

I realise that Jerusalem is important to Muslims, but how can you make such a claim on it when, in all fairness, it is not your most important city, but your third, coming after Mecca and Medinah?

Also, if it's so vital to your culture, why is Jerusalem not mentioned, even once, in the Quran?

And why do you pray facing Mecca, not Jerusalem, if the latter is so precious to you?

I am really curious about all this and would love to get your help. Many thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

I just do not see how it can work, the settlements aside; I simply think that there is a fundamental lack of trust and will power on both sides that would make it impossible.

Maybe we should start looking at other alternatives?
