I meant chicken and milk mixed together in the same meal. Is that allowed?
Based on the answer of the same user, should I think that it is allowed because chicken and milk come from different sources?

No, that is not allowed. Originally poultry and dairy products were allowed together, but it was decided that since poultry is too similar to meat this would just lead to confusion and sin. Accordingly it was prohibited a couple thousand years ago.

It depends..... Sephardic jews eat chicken and dairy products together but Ashkenazim do not! As the Sephardim point out the Bible says, "A kid shall not be cooked in its mother's milk", you cannot milk a chicken, so the law must apply to "milk" animals, i.e. mammals. Ashkenazim have carried the law to the extreme to encompass all "meats" but not fish. As with all things in kashrut, it depends on the "rabbinical" school of thought and how far a congregation want to take it. Do you have synthetic garments made of mixed texttiles, cotton and flax, wool and cotton etc? If so that is also not kosher.... but how many people still observe that as part of their halakah?

Originally they were allowed to be eaten together, since chickens are not mammals. Years ago some rabbis decided that meat and poultry could get mixed up, so they decided that poultry should also not be eaten with milk. If you look at ground turkey or the poultry hotdogs, it does seem to make sense.

C B- dose not know what he is talking about, I am sorry but he is simply incorrect. You can have eggs and chicken, fish and roe.
Michael J is right. Originally it was simply animal meat (beef, lamb, etc)
But several thousand years ago an additional rabbinic prohibition was made on poultry and dairy. Though there is no prohibition on fish and dairy, but some Sefardic Jews still abstain from it.

Michael J is essentially correct however there are many who believe the older view on this is the correct view and that chicken and dairy can be mixed. I have never heard of anyone who abstains from mixing diary with fish as some have said.
Good Luck!!!

In Judiasm you can eat meat and dairy products, but you are not allowed to mix these up in any meal. You can also not have pig or pork.
