H....I am going to take over from your question
Ahmadinejad's exact words in Farsi
Dowlat e Zionist ( The Zionist state ) az sahf e roozegar ( from the pages of time) bayad mahv shavad ( must be erased).
Just like the Soviet Union has been consigned to history ,peacefully , as well as the apartheid regime in South Africa, so will the Zionist state...but the people and the land will remain in tact. This was a call for regime change not genocide!
As for holocaust denial, you heard him all yuorself at Columbia. He said " yani mitavaanim ghabool konim ( let us accept) daghighan in toure pish biyaad ( it happened exactly as alleged) vali chera ( but why) mardom e phelestee ( the Palestinian people be janayat e europai ( for the crime of europeans) makhoom o keyfar mishavand? ( must be sentenced and punished?)
Sorry my zionist pals...but I know Farsi and I know what my President said : You just want to spin this for your own despicable ends.

These imbeciles are intimidated and threatened by Ahmadinejad. His words and intentions are constantly twisted and its about time that Iran is ruled by an opinionated and intelligent man.

We Westerners did not spin anything. Your translation may be all well and good, but the official translation posted by the government on its english language website disagrees with you. You may want to hear what you wish, but those who said the words do not agree with how you perceive them. The official translation said that Iran would erase the Zionist state from the pages of time, no passive language. Following in those same footsteps, you selectively quote from his Columbia appearance. He did say what you said he did, but he also said that there's no reason to accept it as fact. Furthermore, when asked directly if he sought the destruction of Israel, Ahmadinejad failed to answer. Instead he gave some long convoluted explanation that meant nothing when all that was demanded was a 'yes' or 'no'. I'm calling it like it is, while you are intent on spin, not the other way around.

Not you again. Finally, he admitted the obvious truth that stares him right in the face. I am so honored that you know Farsi as I suppose you should if you're from Iran, but the quotes are all over the internet which you could have compiled off of any biased site. Also, Mr. Farsi expert, how come Iran was the country that first translated your president's speech into English about "Israel being wiped off the map"? I suppose that professional Iranian translators are incorrect and that you are a much better translator?

He wants them to be erased peacefully, yet he's building nukes... Actions speak louder than words.
As for the "punishment" to the palestinians, the world was warned thousands of years ago that the Jews would return to "their" land (ezekiel 36 for example). Maybe if muhammad was a better prophet, he would have warned his own people not to get too attached to what would become other people's land. Reading 2 chapters more (ezekiel 38) we find out how peacefully Iran wants to erase the "zionist entity" (they'll join the russians and others for an all out attack on Israel), and the result of ignoring yet another warning from God (i.e. the erasing of the persian entity). It is sad that maybe millions of muslims and russians will pay the price for their leaders hard headedness, but no one can say they weren't warned.
