Hey - if you think this question is stupid - go check out the stupid questions on here that claim that Israel doesn't have a legitimate right to claim Falafel as a national food while Jews who had lived in Arab lands (aka Mizrahi Jews) have had it as part of their diet for many centuries and these people make up over 30% of all Israelis. How about them apples?

Syria filed a complaint yesterday with the UN protesting Israel's chopping down of trees in the occupied Golan Heights to harass farmers and to put pressure on Syrian villagers to force them to leave their land.
Also Palestine's plant life is under threat. As an example there is a rare kind of fern that is not found anywhere in the world except on Jarzim Mountain in the Bab Al Hawa area in Kufr Kalik in southern Nablus, were currently an Israeli military point has been established.
In many cases the plants are stolen and marketed as being from Israel, just as other Palestinian cultural artifacts and food such as the embroidered dress, falafel, maqluba and musakhan.
Such Palestinian cultural artifacts and food are being commercially marketed worldwid under false pretences as being part of the Jewish heritage in Palestine.

What do ordinary Israeli citizen know about that?

I know this sounds strange coming from someone who is Pro-Israel, but I think the strings attached to the aid simply is not worth it.

This article might help explain why In think so better than I can.

Jews dislike Christians to some extent?

Jews did not kill Jesus. Jews had no control over the way the was executed (crucifixion, a common Roman method for low criminals), since Rome was in control of the land of Israel at that time. There is no proof that the Jews wanted Jesus dead, even the Gospels were written after JC's death by his disciples, even if, maybe they were written down much later, who knows?Frankly, if the Jews wanted to kill Jesus, they would have requested of theRoman procurator (Pontius Pilate) that JC be stoned in accordance with Sanhedrin (court) law.
In short, Jews never hated Jesus. But do Jews hate Jesus now? I mean Christians used the "they killed JC" excuse to murder tens of millions of Jews over the rougly 2,000 year period till today. Perhaps Jews hate that there ever was a man called Jesus, because of all the trouble, genocide, and suffering that was brought upon them b/c of them supposedly killing him?

A CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish man in Jerusalem who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time. That’d make a good story, she decided.

So she drove to the wall and, sure enough, there was the elderly gent, praying away. She watched him for an hour and, as he turned to leave, approached him for an interview.

“Rebecca Smith, CNN,” she said. “Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall to pray?”

“Sixty years.”

“Sixty years! Amazing! What do you pray for?”

“I pray for peace between Christians, Jews and Muslims. I pray for all hatred to stop and I pray for all our children to grow up in safety and friendship.”

“So how do you feel after doing this for so long?”

“Like I’m talking to a bloody wall!”

The kidnapping and killing of Rami Ayyad, manager of the Gaza Strip's only Christian bookstore, sent shudders through the Palestinian coastal enclave's tiny Christian community.

I thought the people of Gaza wanted to be rid of the occupation.
Now they have their own elected government that is in full control of its territory.

*one could say Israel still controls the water and air space of Gaza and that constitutes occupation. While this may be true it would better defined as a blockade, no other place in history is controlling the air or water space of another state considered an occupation.

That being said since Israel does not occupy Gaza what obligation does it have to its citizens? Gaza shares a border with Egypt it could turn to them for its utilities or generate them on their own.

For swiftly spreading enmity, anger and discord?

Hehehehehehehe..... I'm so evil.

I revel in inflaming people with my cynic and sarcastic attitude to the point where they just explode (no pun intented here for the Muslim answerers), in your face.

With little effort, I think, I can turn a calm situation in a bubbling cauldron of hatred. "Bubbling cauldron of hatred"? Man, I'm good, where am I getting this stuff? LOL!
Take it easy.

Logic says if you take something with power, you give it BACK not UP. The Arabs attacked the Israelis in 1967 and the Israelis won over them and OCCUPIED lands that Palestinians lived on and caused thousands of innocent people to leave their houses. Why should the Civilians pay for what their politicians do?

Why should the Israelis occupy the land of the people they won over?

Why do the Jews insist that the whole country is theirs and they are going to give up their lands althought everybody knows that they occupied those parts?

And by the way, I don't think Israel will give anything back and if it does it wont give what it is supposed to give..

I find the topic of phobias interesting; I once knew a girl who was terrified of TOMATOES! Yes, that's right, I kid you not!

And yes, I know this topic isn't about Israel or the Middle East, but I'm still interested in your answers. Do you think that sometimes an extreme form of racism is almost like a phobia? I've heard racists speak about both Jews and Muslims and sometimes it seems to me a bit like a phobia in some respects!

(for anyone unsure, phobia = an irrational fear that is so intense it can affect your daily life/routine/decisions)

So, do you have a phobia...?

Do any of you think Israels bombings where a bit excessive?

They killed about a 1000 civilans, injured many more and destroyed Lebanons Infrastructure which is something i cant understand.

Can anyone tell me why did Israel have to bomb Beirute international and brdiges and roads and all the other stuff that is called infrastructure?

Does anyone else think Israels bombings where alittle excessive and that Israel should give repartions to the Lebanese government to take care of all the damage?

The killing of so called hezbollah people was a bit off to they bombed Hezbollah hospitals to get to Hezbollah imployed doctors...

The Americans have declared that 'now' is THE time for peace between Israel and the Palestinians.

I believe most decent people, on both sides, long for peace. But my question is: who can Israel have a dialogue with, given that Hamas still openly calls for the country's destruction?

Who can Israel have as her partner in peace? Fatah?

PLEASE, NO AGGRESSIVE RESPONSES, cheers!
