Hey - if you think this question is stupid - go check out the stupid questions on here that claim that Israel doesn't have a legitimate right to claim Falafel as a national food while Jews who had lived in Arab lands (aka Mizrahi Jews) have had it as part of their diet for many centuries and these people make up over 30% of all Israelis. How about them apples?

So you are claiming falafel is Jewish?!
Talking about the Jews as religion followers, you can't say falafel is Jewish because we don't say it is Muslim.
Falafel is Arabic food and its name is Arabic. The jews who had it as a part of their meals are considered Arabs or learned it from the Arabs who lived in their neighborhood and that is how it became a part of the Jewish meals not because the Jews are the ones who found it. And you are saying the "aka Mizrahi Jews" why did the Europian Jews not make it first then and had it as a part of their meals. That is because it was first found by Arabs.
We were arguing about a land and now we are arguing about food, what a shame.

I think only non-Americans can see the humor in the Baseball "World Series" which is actually an American championship.
To the point, baseball is not all that popular in Israel, the only ones who really follow it are American Olim and children of American Olim.
My Mom is a great fan of any sport, mostly American sports though (baseball - the White Sox, football, the Bears, Hockey -can you guess where she was born?). Like most israelis I find baseball extremely boring.
But you might want to check out the new Israeli Baseball league which started last year.

Hmm... Are French Canadians entitled to call "pea soup" their own?

Actually, Israelis do not play baseball in general and thus would not follow the world series.

They are basically soccer and basketball fanatics.
