In this section this person called Paperback is always being unfair to the UK. The BBC is the greatest news corporation in the world so stop insulting it.

The BBC has no bias against Israel. Don't know how you came to that conclusion.
England has the greatest democracy in the world and is fair.

UltraN, your jealousy is evident. England has had the greatest influence of any nation in the world. Just look at our contribution to Literature, Language,Architecture, Music Science and Sport and much more. No other nation compares in that respect.
England was the first Parliamentary democracy and had the greatest empire the world has ever known.
You remember that buddy.

I'm Jewish, I have Israeli passport. I don't hate UK and I don't hate England. I visited your country and I think its beautiful. More then that, I never heard that there is a general haterad towords the UK among the Jews or the Israelis. Its the first time I hear about it and you think I would know.

I was born in Cardiff (Wales) so i always make the distinction between the countries. But since living in the us i have noticed that a majority of the people i talk to refer to the UK in general as England, as if its the only country there is. While talking to people, some have even argued with me saying Wales isn't a country but an island. To answer your other question. In my experience there aren't people who dont like the term UK, but i know i get annoyed with it because it seems they think the UK involved only England and not the whole United Kingdom.

I have found plenty of anti-Americanism here too. But lets be real.
The BBC is state owned and controlled and most of the time only reports half of what they cover. Very biased according to how the PM or Queen feels today.
Why does the English have such a large Muslim population and do you really think this is accidental.
The Brits have always been anti-Semitic as a majority as well as anti-everything else.
If you ask these Filipinos who of the foreigners causes most trouble here, they will say Korean first British second. They ask why do they always fight with each other.
Third are the Aussies, always ready to drink or fight.
It is my personal experience that Brits are rude and antagonistic, which might explain me as I am half Choctaw and half English, and all American.

I heard that it rains a lot in England, so that's one thing I can say for sure that I don't really like. Otherwise, I can't say I hate it or like it because I never lived there.

Given that I am British and live in the UK, I am entitled to pass comment and hold an opinion. If you don't like it, just don't read my posts or responses.

I have never stated that the UK is anti semitic per se. (As it happens, historically England was the first country to kick out its' Jewish community). But the fact remains that in recent months there have been several massive anti Israel rallies, showing British people holding banners declaring 'We are all Hezbollah'. What, that's meant to make me happy? Get real.

As for the BBC: unlike other British TV institutions the BBC does have an intrinsic bias against Israel, as proven by the blatant lies it allowed to remain on its' websites, despite numerous complaints from both Jews and non Jews alike.

IT HAS TO DO WITH THE HISTORICAL PART ENGLAND TOOK, NOT PERMITING JEWS INTO THE COUNTRY DURING AND AFTER WW II
ENGLAND TODAY HAS A GROWING NUMBER OF MUSLEMS LIVING IN IT, THIS IS COUSING A SHIFT IN ENGLANDS POLITICAL VIEWS AND ACTIONS
BY THE WAY NO BAD MOUTHING ON THIS SIDE

because English people are good people, and they don't support the injustice that is being done to the Palestinians by the Nation of israel, which btw doesn't represent all Jews.

candii_j... IT DOES MATTER when a country like israel makes refugees out of a third of an entire country, where it's okay to kill a palestinian person even after he's surrendered, where it's okay to cut off all water and electricity from the occupied Gaza territory, even though israel occupies all of Palestine and doesn't allow their government to actually provide these services.

It seems to me that israelis will continue to use their status as ''victims'' to try and get sympathy from the rest of the world, while at the same time complaining whenever someone raises an objection about the disgusting way in which israel treats the native and rightful owners of the land (palestinian people). I guess that's why they don't like england, because unlike america it's not constantly kissing israel's a ss.
